Earlier this month I had the pleasure of touring some of the family-owned factories where Sarah Flint makes her beautiful shoes. It’s incredible to see a new shoe go through all the stages of production from Sarah’s sketchbook to the finished product! I have been on the hunt for the perfect loafer for some time, and was thrilled to see the initial concept for Sarah’s new O’Neill Slide. With a flattering almond toe, beautiful fold-over kilte detail and gold capped tassel, this shoe is super comfortable and a chic take on a preppy classic! (It also comes in a feminine heeled slingback style – especially chic for the office or to wear with a dress!) While visiting one of her factories I got to see my own pair made before my very eyes from start to finish, walking out of the factory with them on my feet! (Sizing note – I got 1/2 size larger than my normal Sarah Flint size!)
This shoe looks great with relaxed denim and the easy slip on style means it”s going to’ll be my go-to off duty shoe. I wore them on the plane ride home back to Boston and am packing them for Nantucket later this week – they’re such a great travel style (especially if your feet swell a bit on planes – which mine do!)
I’ll be sharing a reel on Instagram of the production process when the shoe officially launches to the public later this week, but my readers can enjoy early access to the pre-order now!
