As we relish the last few weeks of summer David and I are spending as much time outside and by the water as possible, and there are a few swimsuits I reach for again and again. My favorites are all by French swimwear brand Eres, which makes simple, chic silhouettes out of the most fabulous smooths-you-out-and-holds-you-in fabric. I’ve had their swimsuits for years and each one still looks brand new despite the sun, sweat, and saltwater. We live walking distance to the beach and head down to our dock almost every day so they get a lot of use!
I love that Eres makes each of their styles in a rainbow of colors. I just bought this dark green U bandeau version in France which is my favorite style that they make, and I also love this white tank Eres swimsuit that I always pack for trips as seen here, here, here, and here! I’ve got my eye on this chic lace-up suit in blue and white and they make bikinis too! (Like this set that reminds me of grace Kelly.) I’m normally an XS/ Size 2 and buy the FR 40 in Eres swimsuits, and keep my normal size even now that I’m pregnant.
While I would love a swim wardrobe filled with Eres, they’re a little pricey for that and you can find their super flattering U bandeau silhouette at J.Crew from time to time at a fraction of the cost. J.Crew makes this style in a new pattern or two every year and I often snap up the J.Crew version when it goes on sale – like this happy vintage floral print version! The U bandeau styling is super flattering for small or medium busts, but don’t be confused by the J.Crew website listing which claims there is underwire in the suit, there is no underwire and it’s just a typo. 🙂 (You can see my old versions from J.Crew here and here.)
