My Most-used Fall Pieces

Stacie Flinner Sarah Flint Riding Boot-44.jpg

Between a lot of work, weekends spent hosting out-of-town guests, and a few little overnight trips it’s been a busy month. I have so much to share  and am just sorting through all the images and recommendations, but before October comes to a close I wanted to outline my most-used fall pieces that I’ve been reaching for again and again. Many have been in heavy rotation for the casual in-between moments that don’t get featured on the blog, and I know would be much-loved staples in your closets too.

Cable Knit Sweaters – It’s almost embarrassing to think of the number of times I’ve worn this Vince sweater the past month. With it’s neutral hue and generous cut, it’s easy to dress up with a miniskirt or down with jeans and flats. I’ve owned it since last winter (last seen here and here) same goes for this cashmere crew neck.

A Barbour Beadnell Jacket – A classic that needs no introduction. (I have the olive and sized up one size to ensure a loose fit even with chunky knits underneath.)

Mansur Gavriel Tote – I know this bag has been around for ages, but I got mine a few months ago and it has become my daily handbag. Now that we no longer live in the city I’m realizing I prefer open-top handbags which make it easy to throw keys, sunglasses, and a mask inside when hopping in and out of the car. (When we lived in NYC I always wanted a zip or clasp closure to keep things more secure.) I could only find a few of these online (and on sale here, and a mini version here)  which makes me wonder if they’re discontinuing the style.

Sarah Flint Flats and Riding Boots – I have been wearing these leopard flats (here, here, here and here) and these gorgeous riding boots on repeat all month. (Both kindly gifted by Sarah.)

Wool Blazers – I’ve slowly collected blazers over the years and love how they look over an oxford, cashmere hoodie, or turtleneck for almost any autumn activity. This plaid hacking jacket is a favorite (you can get a similar look for less here) and I love this one so much I got it in burgundy as well.

Vintage snake ring – David gave me a vintage snake ring as a present a few years ago and I love wearing it throughout the fall and winter. A few similar styles include this stunner and this more affordable option.
