As I work to build a wardrobe full of pieces that can be enjoyed for years to come, tailoring is always one of my top priorities. Is the fabric high-quality? How was the pattern placed? Does it match at the seams? Does the cut skim my body “just so”? Is it lined? Get all these things right and you’ll have a piece of tailoring that makes you look and feel like a million bucks, and that will stand the test of time.
Though originally a menswear essential, every woman with timeless style needs at least one incredible blazer in her wardrobe. While men’s blazers and suit jackets usually value craftsmanship, unfortunately, many blazers made for women prioritize current trends over focusing on quality tailoring. One brand that takes women’s jackets very seriously is Blazé Milano with their luxurious fabrics, impeccable tailoring, and signature “smiley” pockets. I bought my first Blazé Milano while in Italy three years ago, and have been slowly adding to my collection each year. When I pop on one of these blazers, it always makes me feel my best. I especially love the “everyday” silhouette which is nipped in the tiniest bit at the waist, as their “everynight” cut is a little boxier and contemporary. This blazer is so easy to style, pair it with a turtleneck like I did here, here, here, a complementary fair isle sweater as seen here, or a big cashmere shawl here or silk scarf here!
Blazé Milano blazers are amazing, but don’t take my word for it! I shared the green plaid version in a January sale roundup and received this fabulous email from one of you!
“Happy follower here who simply wants to say thank you for the Blazé Milano recommendation. I ordered the green version and it is tailoring perfection!! The pockets lining the inside and the material are beautiful. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Hope that time for you and your husband with the new arrival is going well. Sharing warm wishes from this grateful reader!” – Emory

So sophisticated looking you are and what a pretty background – where is it ? Looks like it’s along a waterway maybe one of those shack type buildings @ Perkins cove, Ogunquit or Kennebunkport two of my favorite places to visit in Maine ! Just love walking The Marginal way as I’ve done for 80 yrs since a baby !
Beside Wamsutta and Fieldcrest towels which I have found to always washed up really nice I have also found very good towels at Home Goods very inexpensive. And Threshold Brand at Target have been good also. My advice buy a few wash them few times to test how they do. My husband has health issues so good towels are a must since we only use a bath towel one time then they get washed. And in summer by the pool a nice over sized bath towel along with beach towels are also a must. Really good towels wear so well but when they are finished I cut them up with pinking shears for rags for our cleaning ladies to use. Pls let us know what brand you buy
Thank you for introducing me to this brand. I searched for this blazer when I first read your post but unfortunately it was unavailable. Last week I received an email from Saks that it was available in my size and it was on sale! It arrived today and it is stunning. The best part is that it works with so many blouses and sweaters in my closet. Thank you, this is truly an investment but forever piece.
